The district that is located in the most northern portion of Allegheny county, and serves more that 4,600 students K-12. The district has seen its population double since the early nineties. As a result, PRSD is noted for having first-rate facilities amid a strong academic reputation.

The growth of the district parallels the growth of our reputation for quality educational programs. As we grow, PR maintains a warm and caring environment with an excellent academic reputation. The district provides a future-focused approach to planning and operations, thanks to strong leadership by the board, administrative team, teachers, non-teaching staff coupled with strong participation from teachers, students and community members.

The district is comprised of six school buildings, which include three primary buildings (K-3), one upper elementary (4-6), a middle school (7-8) and a high school (9-12) that is undergoing an expansion.

Other Information: The Seneca Valley School District is a suburban district located in Southern Butler County and covers 100 Sqaure miles.

For the 2010-2011 school year, there were 7,329 students in grades K-12. Of that, approximately 3,872 students are elementary (K-6) and 3,457 are secondary students (7-12). We have four K-4 sites and two 5-6 middle school sites. Our secondary campus sits on 120 acres in Jackson Township and houses three buildings for all students in grades 7-12, a middle school (7-8), an intermediate high school (9-10) and a senior high school (11-12).

The 2009-2010 Seneca Valley SAT scores average 503 for writing, 511 for critical reading and 520 for math, all of which are higher than the state and national norms. The district has approximately 919 professional and classified employees.
